How Often Should You Have an Eye Exam?
The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends adults (aged 20–64) have an eye exam at least every 2 years.
However, eye exam frequency depends on individual needs. Patients who wear contact lenses, have a family history of eye disease, or have a medical condition that affects eye health (such as diabetes) may benefit from more frequent checkups.

An eye exam includes various tests so we can provide detailed, personalized insights into your vision and overall eye health. Your routine eye exam typically includes:
